Special Request from NH Common Sense
« on: August 20, 2007, 08:31 AM NHFT »
Folks,

Our Send the Right Message! campaign is taking off in a big way.  We've had successful encounters with several presidential candidates, and we're achieving our goal of getting them to talk (yes, out loud) about Drug and Marijuana Prohibition.

The differences between candidates are becoming clear.  For example, John McCain told us there was no similarity between Alcohol Prohibition and Drug Prohibition, but Ron Paul told us they are "exactly the same."  We've captured these encounters (among others: Romney, Richardson, Huckabee) on film, and my McCain article generated major web traffic.  I will be posting a Ron Paul article/video probably this evening (if I can complete it to my satisfaction), and that should generate huge traffic as well.

Unfortunately, we've had a hell of a time raising money (perhaps because I hate asking), and I'm afraid our Chip-In box isn't very effective when there are only two contributors and $25.  It needs to look like there is more "money in the jar" before we get another rush of traffic -- we all know nobody puts money in an empty jar.

So if you've ever considered giving a few dollars to NH Common Sense, now would be a very opportune time.  I think we've done an awful lot with a very tiny budget, and we'd like to do an awful lot more.  Five or ten bucks from several people would provide "money in the jar," and it would make our Chip-In box look a lot more credible to anti-prohibitionist web surfers around the country.

So if you can help... thanks in advance,

Matt

done -- I know the money will be put to great use.

Great job on Against the Grain today and well done asking tough questions of RudyMcRomney -- love the youtube videos.

Thanks Rosie!

It's the least I can do and I will give more when I can. NH Common Sense is doing great work and I know that you are and will continue to have a direct impact on NH being more free.

Matt Simon -- intelligent, handsome and a modest leader :) I know for a fact that he is volunteering probably 40 hours a week to this important cause....

How could anyone say no to that face  ;)

I know that many of us are donating a lot to Ron Paul right now, but the NH Coalition for Common Sense has earned our support. What they, with Matt's leadership, are working on is just as important to NH as Ron Paul is to the country.

Thank you Matt and keep up the great work.

I chipped in -- NH Common Sense is doing a hell of a lot more than just the stirring the pot (as it were) in the presidential candidate arena. There will be some very exciting pro-freedom developments in New Hampshire in early 2008, and NH Common Sense is working behind the scenes to help make it happen...

8 contributors now -- let's make that number at least 58... Rocketman asked for as little as $5.

We've got to support our own... now get over to the site http://nhcommonsense.org/ and pitch in.

It is well worth the 5+ bucks...

People...

If you believe, as I do, that the War on Drugs is insanity and must end immediately, and
if you believe that if any drug is most urgently in need of decriminalization, it is surely marijuana ...

Then join me in taking any money that you would otherwise give to DPA or MPP... and give it to the organization that is actually going to make a difference where you live (or will soon live).

I wouldn't give any money to MPP. They bought my name from a list and started sending me junk mail.

$10 donated.

btw, i love the email Gnuhampshire!

I just want to say, once more, that I saw the question which was asked to John McCain on C-Span, and sent a message to DPA while it was still on even before the medical marijuana question.

McCain's answer was ridiculous! He looked like such a jackass, and his wife works for Anheuser-Busch.

Whoever in your organization that was specifically, you did a really, really good job. Also, I want to say I didnt realize it was an activist on TV, seemed like a supporter.
